Our mission: To assist individuals with developmental disabilities/special needs in East Central Indiana in obtaining living necessities.

SNAP is hosting our 14th Shopping Day Friday September 12th From 9:00 - 11:00 am

SNAP is in need of a donated van or SUV to do our weekly donation pickups - if you have any connections, please let us know. Or, if you're available to do Friday pickups and have a large vehicle, please contact us.

SNAP also accepts gently used and new donations from the public. If you have items you wish to donate, please drop them off at our location and we will pass them along to our recipients. We'll gladly accept your leftover rummage sale items or other household items that you no longer need.

*Help Support SNAP by ordering through www.smile.amazon.com and selecting the Special Needs Assistance Project as your charity - at no cost or obligation to you!

SNAP has provided funding for art therapy classes, mattresses, bed frames, drum circle instruments, guardianship, and living necessities since 2009. Check out our FAQ - frequently asked questions - page for more information. Donations are tax-deductible. SNAP is a tax-exempt, non-profit community charity 501(c )3. All of our members are unpaid volunteers.

Living Necessities Program:

SNAP has partnered with 2 Bed, Bath, & Beyond stores and receives gently used items from community members. SNAP donates these items to individuals with developmental disabilities in East Central Indiana. Email CJ to request or reserve items (first come, first served). Check the website regularly to see our inventory. It goes quickly. Donations are always appreciated (bedding, cleaning supplies, hygiene items, socks, small appliances, dishes, silverware, towels, etc). New and gently used items can be dropped off in Muncie or New Castle.

Monetary donations are also accepted. These donations are tax-deductible (receipt will be issued). All monies donated go directly toward providing living necessities to individuals.

Remember to select SNAP (Special Needs Assistance Project Corp) as your charity at Amazon.com (enter through www.smile.amazon.com)  0.05% of your purchase price will be donated to SNAP each quarter. This is a super easy way to support SNAP.
